“But it is not this way with you, but the one who is the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like the servant. For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.” — Luke 22:26–27

This is how God intended us to treat one another — not only to love each other, but to serve each other.

Jesus is the ultimate authority, yet He came as a servant to us. Let that sink in for a moment.

If you are in any position of authority, love the ones you lead and serve them. I have the greatest boss ever — he serves not only the entire church building, but everyone inside it, including me.

Step into service today and notice what it changes in you.

Try This Today:

Serve someone in a practical way they didn’t ask for — a small task, help, or encouragement — and don’t draw attention to it afterward.

Standing with you,

around the table,

Chef Bob
