“In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” — Acts 20:35
Some of the moments that stay with us the longest aren’t the ones where we received something — they’re the ones where we were able to give it. We often measure success by what we own, earn, or control. The Lord measures it by how we serve.
Generosity rarely starts with money.. We give our time, our strength, our attention, and our listening ear. We give patience to our families, encouragement to our brothers, and compassion to those who are struggling. This kind of giving costs us something — and that’s why it matters.
When we live open-handed, we reflect the heart of Jesus, who gave Himself fully for us. In God’s economy, generosity always produces a return — not necessarily in material things, but in joy, peace, and purpose.
Try This Today:
Offer something intentionally today — your time, encouragement, attention, or help — without letting the person know you planned it.
Standing with you,
around the table,
