“Let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and run with endurance the race set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus.” — Hebrews 12:1–2
You aren’t running alone.
Many have walked this road before us.
Their lives prove faith works and obedience is worth it.
But you can’t run well carrying extra weight.
Some things aren’t sinful — just heavy: distractions, old mindsets, habits that slow you down.
And then there’s sin — the thing that trips you and stops you altogether.
Following Christ requires letting go of both.
This isn’t a sprint.
There will be hills, heat, strong days, and weak ones.
Endurance means continuing when you’d rather stop.
How?
Fix your eyes on Jesus. Not your past. Not your failures. Not opinions. Not culture.
Eyes forward.
He finished His race — and He will carry yours to completion.
Try This Today:
Drop one unnecessary weight
Turn from one known sin
Refocus your attention on Christ
Then keep going.
Persist.
Standing with you,
around the table,
Chef Bob
