Low and Slow

When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought me joy.” — Psalm 94:19

We carry weight every day — responsibilities, finances, family pressure, private battles, worries that wake us at 2 AM.

Scripture doesn’t pretend anxiety isn’t real. It is. The writer says, “anxiety was great within me.” Not one problem — a pile of them.

But then comes the change:

“Your consolation brought me joy.”

God didn’t remove the pressure — He met him inside it.

Real joy isn’t the absence of pressure.

It’s the presence of God in the pressure.

Strong men don’t pretend they’re not anxious.

They bring anxious thoughts to the Lord instead of letting them run wild.

You weren’t built to carry tomorrow today.

You were built to trust God one step at a time.

Try This Today:

When worry hits, don’t rehearse the problem — repeat God’s promises.

Say them out loud if you have to.

Anxiety multiplies in isolation.Joy multiplies in God’s presence.

Standing with you,

around the table,

Chef Bob
