You Have to Taste It

“Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.” — Psalm 34:8

A lot of people stay close to faith without ever stepping into it.

We hear about God, watch others believe, and keep our distance — not always because we’re against Him, but because we’re unsure what it would actually be like.

In the kitchen, you can study a recipe all day, but until you put it together and taste it, you don’t truly know its goodness. Faith works the same way. Psalm 34:8 calls us to experience God personally — to taste and see.

When life turns up the heat and the pressure is on, God becomes our safe place, our solid foundation. Just like well-seasoned food brings comfort and strength, trusting in the Lord nourishes our souls and calms our anxiety.

The blessing isn’t in knowing information about God — it’s discovered when we slowly begin trusting Him ourselves.

Prayer

Lord, help us taste and see Your goodness today. Teach us to trust You fully and take refuge in You, especially when life feels overwhelming. Amen.

Try This Today

Talk honestly to God about one real concern in your life — even if you’re unsure what you believe. No performance, just honesty.

Standing with you,

around the table,

Chef Bob
