“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned…” — Titus 2:7–8
People are always learning from someone — especially in the places we spend the most time. Over time, others begin to read our lives long before they listen to our words.
In the kitchen, you can’t fake great food. If the ingredients are off or the technique is wrong, it shows. In the same way, our faith must be seasoned with integrity and slow-cooked in character. People around us — our kids, coworkers, and friends — are tasting what we live long before they hear what we say.
Paul tells Titus that sound speech and honorable living leave no room for accusation. When our lives line up with our words, critics are left with nothing to pick apart. A life shaped by Christ becomes a steady witness — not perfect, but authentic, steady, and trustworthy.
Try This Today
Ask yourself: If someone followed my example, would they be drawn closer to Jesus?
Choose one area today — your words, your work ethic, or your attitude — and bring it back into alignment with Christ.
Standing with you,
around the table,
Chef Bob
