“Select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials…” — Exodus 18:21
Responsibility has a way of quietly piling up.
The more dependable you are, the more people bring to you — until one day you realize you’re carrying things you were never meant to carry alone.
When Moses tried to carry everything himself, it wore him down — and the people suffered. God’s solution was wise delegation: choose men of character and share the load.
Think of a well-run kitchen. No single cook can handle every station without the whole service suffering. But when trusted people each take their place, the work is done with excellence and endurance.
Strong leadership begins with strong character and a willingness to trust others.
Try This Today:
Ask yourself: Am I trying to do too much alone?
Identify one responsibility you’ve been holding alone and invite someone to share it with you — not because you’re failing, but because you were never meant to carry it by yourself.
Standing with you,
around the table,
Chef Bob
